Sirelo | Interaction design

Overview
The primary challenge, referred to as the "Invisible Hand," required users to select their starting location before accessing the list of possible destinations. To address this, the team introduced a shipping from toggle in different states, prompting users to make an active decision. This solution enhanced the user experience by making the change in destination options more apparent, ensuring a seamless and informed decision-making process.
In addition, the team implemented an "Interactive Calculator" to streamline the quote request process. Users could now find their shipping route and instantly view estimated shipping prices. The incorporation of a quote button facilitated a natural flow of navigation towards the call-to-action (CTA), ensuring users were prompted to request a quote efficiently.
While replacing traditional tables with the interactive calculator sacrificed quick data scanning, the project's focus remained on providing users with accurate and real-time estimates tailored to their shipping needs. The small boat animations added a touch of fun and freshness to the calculator without distracting users from their primary goal of requesting a quote.
By combining a user-centric approach with creativity and efficiency, the UX-driven improvements anticipated a significant increase in user engagement and conversion rates. The upgraded platform empowered users to confidently and swiftly request shipping container quotes, providing them with a positive and rewarding experience throughout their journey.
With meticulous attention to detail and a focus on data security and privacy, the project demonstrated a commitment to creating a user-friendly and reliable platform for shipping inquiries. Overall, the UX case study showcased how thoughtful design solutions, driven by user insights, can elevate the performance and appeal of a shipping container quote request module.
